DAY 01 – ARRIVAL YANGON

Welcome to the Garden City Yangon. Meet on arrival at Yangon Airport and transfer to hotel for check-in. Here, we would like to reserve enough time for you to take a good rest that you may need after a long tedious flight. Overnight at the hotel in Yangon.

DAY 02 – YANGON SIGHTSEEING (B)

Breakfast at the hotel. Then, meet with our guide and explore Yangon sightseeing. Tour starts from Yangon downtown where you will see how people of different faiths and cultures live together in harmony and peace for centuries. Visit Sule Pagoda, City Hall, High Court and many colonial buildings and Maha Bandoola Park with Independence Monument, located at the heart of the city, and visit Bogyoke market- a shopping market with more than 2000 shops selling all kinds of products but of special mention is the beautiful exotic “Shan Bag” velvet slippers, lacquerware, Gems shops and all sorts of handicraft. In the evening, visit the 2,500 years old magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda sheathed in 11 tons of pure gold and 4,350 diamonds weighing 1800 carats!  At sunset, the Shwedagon offers the visitor a spectacular show of lights and shadows. Overnight at the hotel in Yangon.

DAY 03 – YANGON – BAGAN (by morning flight) (B)

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Bagan. On arrival at Nyaung Oo airport, welcome and meet with station guide. Before check-in at the hotel, a direct visit to Nyaung Oo colorful Market, Shwezigon Pagoda; a prototype of later Myanmar stupa. Then, to Wetkyi-in Gubyaukkyi Temple with fine mural paintings of Jataka scenes. After that transfer to hotel for check-in. Afternoon sightseeing tour continues to a lacquerware industry and study the way of making lacquerware. In Myanmar, the origins of the lacquer seems to come from Bagan about 12th - 13th century. And then, visit Manuha Temple with gigantic Buddha images, a captive king's impression of life in prison, Nanpaya; an Early-style temple with the finest stone carvings, Ananda Temple; an architectural masterpiece resembling a Greek Cross and Shwesandaw Pagoda. Finally, proceed to a nice place for the beautiful sunset. Overnight at the hotel in Bagan.

 Note: ( Although it has spots lights installed in the temples, it is advisable to bring your own torchlight to see mural paintings and stone carvings in details...) 

DAY 04 – BAGAN (excursion) (B)

After breakfast, morning sightseeing tour begins with Shwe Gukyi temple for panoramic morning beauty of old Bagan area. Here you will have the chance to study the ruin palace site of Bagan. Visit the highest temple of Bagan “Thatbyinnyu”, Dhammayangyi, a massive temple with the finest brickwork, Sulamuni temple where you can see fine frescos from 18th century Kone Baung era and it also has a beautiful background history so make sure you get that. Afternoon visiting begins with Minnan- Thu village to see the typical Myanmar style of village life. Then proceed to Lay Myathna and Phaya Thonezu Temple and have a stroll among the ruined temple. Overview of Bagan temple from a nearby temple called Tayoke Pyay. Overnight at the hotel in Bagan.

DAY 05 – BAGAN – MANDALAY (by morning flight) – Amarapura - Mandalay (by car) (B)

After breakfast at the hotel, you will transfer to airport for flight to Mandalay. Upon arrival, direct excursion to Amarapura means City of Immortality founded in 1783 AD. Visit Mahagandaryone monastery the largest teaching monastery in Myanmar. Daily at around 10:30 a.m, about 700 monks queue up for their last meal ( lunch ) of the day. Then enjoy the great serenity of 1.2km long U Bein wooden Bridge, built since 1782 with over1700 huge teak pillars, is one of the worth visiting sites and Taung- ta-man lake that will give you an enchanting experience. Then continue your tour by visiting the handicraft workshops such as bronze sculpture, gold leaf beating and marble stone carving, After that hotel, late check-in and then, visit the Shwenandaw Monastery, noted for its exquisite wood carvings; Kuthodaw Pagoda often called the world’s largest book. Finish your tour by visiting Mandalay Hill, the natural watch-tower for the visitors to watch sunrise or sunset over the city plains. And then, drive back to your hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Mandalay.

DAY 06 – MINGUN (by private boat) – SAGIANG (by car) (B)

After breakfast, transfer to jetty for Mingun excursion. This 50 minutes upstream boat ride in a private boat on Ayewawaddy River brings us to see the world biggest ringing bell, Mingun bell, and the biggest unfinished pagoda, Pahtodawgyi pagoda from the 18th century. Mingun is a peaceful town with friendly locals and you can ride an ox-cart as a local taxi just for fun. The short walk from Mingun jetty to Mya TheinTan pagoda is full of local activities and this is a good place to shop paintings and souvenir.  You can enjoy local tea, cold drinks, and Myanmar tempura also at one of the shops. Then drive to Sagaing, visiting silk weaving on the way and some cottages industries including Silversmith which is the famous one in Myanmar. Later proceed to Sagaing   Hill which is almost all covered by religious buildings like a monastery, meditation center, nunnery, near the river.  We can visit some of them and then enjoy the panoramic view of the Ayerwaddy river from the top of the hill. Finally, back to your hotel. Rest of the day is at your own leisure and Overnight.

DAY 07 – MANDALAY – HEHO (by morning flight) – KALAW (by private car) (B)

After a very early breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to the airport for flight to Heho.  Meet with our guide on arrival and transfer to beautiful hill station Kalaw, on the way, enjoying country roads and passing colorful vegetables farm and rice fields. Riding till to Kalaw, a British hill station with colonial buildings, and check in your hotel. After refreshment, visiting the old train station, which maintains its original form since it was built by the British in the very early 20th century. Then we will proceed to enjoy the panoramic view of Kalaw from Thein Taung monastery and local market. Later, visit Lacquer ware  Buddha, Shwe U Min Cave, and old church.  Return to hotel, free at leisure and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 08 – KALAW (Soft Trekking to shan village) – INLE (B, L)

Transfer by car from hotel to the tour starting point at Myin Ka, TaungYoo Village (takes about 20minutes). After walking about 2.5 hrs to Pine Ne Bin, Palaung village, where you can see Palaung traditional hand weaving and fermented tea making. Lunch with traditional food will be served at Pine Ne Bin Village. From here walk about another 1.45hrs to the ending point of the tour. A car will pick you up and drive to Nyaung Shwe, where Inle Lake is situated. On your way, you will pass many different kinds of vegetable plantations and can enjoy the mountainous landscape. Transfer to your hotel and Overnight in Inle.

DAY 09 – INLE LAKE SIGHTSEEING (B)

After breakfast at the hotel, you will explore Inle Lake, the jewel of Shan State. Meet with your guide at the hotel and start your sightseeing. On the way, we can see the morning market if the day we arrive falls on the scheduled market day.  Inle Lake locates 875 meters above the sea level and is the only place you can see unique leg-rowers and floating gardens which are made from lake weeds and mud. During the lake tour, you can enjoy the scenic beauty of the lake, fishing canoes using special methods for fishing and collecting seaweed, lakebed mud to make floating gardens. We will also see a lot of floating gardens on the way to the visit of Nga Phe Chaung monastery (also known as Jumping Cat monastery). After that, going to He ya ywa ma village to see the typical local life and then proceed to visit the Cheroot making place and carpenter’s workshop to see how they built a boat. Silk weaving and making lotus fabric of Inle of Inpawkhone village is so popular that you should not miss to see them. In the late afternoon, visit the most famous Paungdaw Oo Pagoda. Return to the hotel and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 10 – INDEIN Excursion (B)

After breakfast at the hotel, visit of Indein village, the hidden treasure of Inle Lake.  It is Shwe Indaing pagoda complex that is newly open to International travelers where one will be totally amazed by ruined stupas from 13” century.  On the way, you will enjoy the natural beauty on the way like vegetable gardens, child and young monks (novices) enjoying their morning bath in the clear stream, water buffaloes and people among the paddy fields etc. After a nice stroll among the pagoda complex, walk back along the bamboo forest to the jetty to take back the boat to Inle Lake.  Return back to your hotel in the evening and overnight at the hotel in Inle.

DAY 11 – HEHO – YANGON (by flight) (B)

Today is your free and leisure day. Depending on your flight schedule of Heho – Yangon, our driver will pick you up at the hotel and transfer to the airport for your flight back to Yangon. Overnight in Yangon.

DAY 12 – YANGON DEPARTURE (by afternoon flight)

This morning visit the Chaukhtatkyi Reclining Buddha and have a photo stop to see the Karaweik Royal Barge on Kandawgyi Royal Lake. Afterwards, transfer to Yangon Airport for your departure flight. Bon Voyage!
