DAY 1. ARRIVAL IN MYANMAR
“Welcome to Myanmar” at the airport by your tour guide and transfer team. We then transfer you to the hotel. The rest of the day is your own leisure.
There is no meal included on this day.
DAY 2. Yangon – Bagan – Temples Tour (B)
In the early morning, take the short flight to Bagan. Once at Bagan, your tour guide will take you around its wonderful scenery and architecture. Bagan is a truly mesmerizing destination and a favorite of many travelers. Renowned as the city of four million pagodas, this is one of the richest archaeological sites in Asia. Today there are more than 2,000 pagodas, temples, and monasteries — most built during the Bagan Dynasty, founded by King Anawrahta in 1044. Firstly, we’ll go to lively Nyaung U Market where your guide will help you to discover a variety of Burmese traditional breakfasts. For breakfast, you will have your breakfast at a local tea house, which is situated next to the market. This Nyaung U Market provides great photo opportunity, and also the chance for tourists to mingle with the local Myanmar people and watch how they conduct their daily lives. Next, we will start sightseeing as below:
DAY 3. Mount Popa - Local Product & Village Sightseeing - Sunset Boat Tour (B)
After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Mount Popa. It is the core of an extinct volcano lasted active 25,000 years ago; also known as the ‘Mt Olympus’ of Myanmar, the abode of Myanmar’s most powerful Nats (Spiritual beings) and the most important Nat Worship Centre. It will take a 1-hour drive from Bagan passing the palm plantation. On the way to Mount Popa, stop to see skillful toddy-palm climber collecting the wine on top of the tree, toddy palm juice & palm sugar (jaggery) making cottage. Bagan is not only famous for the profusion of ancient temples, but also for its exquisite handicrafts. After lunch at a local restaurant, we will drive to the place to watch the time consuming and intricate production of quality lacquer ware. Some of the finest are flexible, and made around bamboo and twisted horse hair. Next, you’ll learn about the making of Bagan’s most famous food, ‘Pone Yay Gyi’ at a local shop. This black paste is made from soybeans and you’ll get to see how it’s made, from the raw soybeans through to the finished product. Finally, visit Taung Bi Village to look through some private homes and local businesses. While not the home of any great monuments or temples, our walk through this peaceful village really is a nice change of pace from the hectic pace of cities. And then transfer to the jetty to spend the whole evening by enjoying the sunset boat ride along Ayarwaddy River.
DAY 4. Bagan – Mandalay – Sunset Tour at U Bein Bridge (B, D)
After breakfast at the hotel, you will take a private car to go to Mandalay. Along the way, you can witness the true local life of Myanmar. The driving time will be about 4 hours. On your arrival, you will have your own relaxing time at the hotel until the evening near to the sunset time (about 4 PM). Then, you will be driven to the famous U Bein Bridge for a stunning sunset view. This U Bein Bridge is 1.2-kilometer (0.75 mi) and built around 1850 and is believed to be the oldest and longest teakwood bridge in the world. Really nice to walk on the bridge under the sunset. You will then be taken to the local restaurant before the drive back to your hotel.
DAY 5. Mandalay – Amarapura – Sagaing – Inwa (Ava) Tour (B)
After breakfast at the hotel, we will start sightseeing in the surrounding cities of Mandalay. The most fascinating visit for you is the time watching the monks during worship time and enjoying their daily at MaHa-GanDar-Yone Monastery. Then proceed to Sagaing. On the way, visit the Silk Weaving Centre.
DAY 6. Mingun – Mandalay Tour (B)
After breakfast at the hotel, start sightseeing. Immerse yourselves on a boat tour along Ayerwaddy River to visit Mingun. Then continue walking tour in Mingun. The main highlights are: Then come back to Mandalay by boat. After lunch, spend your whole afternoon by visiting major sites in Mandalay. Sightseeing for Mandalay will include most of the city’s outstanding historical and cultural sites.
DAY 7. Mandalay – Heho – Pindaya – Inle Lake (B)
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to airport for flight to Heho (30minutes). On arrival, proceed to Pindaya by car (about 2 hrs drive). This drive will give you delightful sceneries of hill station by passing through picturesque landscapes. Huge Banyan Trees near Pindaya caves are also well known for a photo stop. Then visit PINDAYA CAVES where one can enjoy a countless number of Buddha images from the late 18 centuries. Well known for its beautiful stalactites and stalagmites. Next stop is the Traditional cottage industry. Next stop is a traditional cottage industry of umbrella making and Pone Ta Lote Lake, then transfer to the hotel in Inle.
DAY 8. Inle Lake and Indein Village Boat Tour (B)
Looking down over the lake from the Taunggyi road, Inle lies in an enormous carpet of greenery. Dotted around the lake are the stilt-house villages and floating gardens of the Intha tribe. The Intha technique of leg rowing – where one leg is wrapped around the paddle to drive the blade through the water in a snake-like motion – is unique. With our Inle Lake Boat Trip Day tour, you will experience a unique way of life that has lived on through generations, whilst exploring the culturally significant surrounds that form part of this beautiful region of Myanmar. You will be provided with a life jacket and an easy seat for each person on the boat. Inle lake sightseeing will be filled with a visit to the: A visit to these sights provides deep insight into how the people on the lake make their livings. So you can enjoy Unique One Leg rower fisherman, Lotus and silk weaving, boat making and cheroot making. After lunch proceeds to Indein. And take a short trek to Indein Pagoda. On the way, you can enjoy the serene atmosphere as you wander through artfully scattered 8th-century Pagodas in ruins covered by trees and bushes. Then observe Intha tribes Village lives and enjoy the local market along the shore. And then transfer to the hotel by boat.
DAY 9. Inle Lake - Yangon (B)
After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to the airport to take a short flight back to Yangon. On your arrival, you will be met by your transfer team and you will then be transferred to the hotel. The rest of the day is your own leisure in Yangon.
DAY 10. Yangon sightseeing (B, D)
After breakfast at the hotel, start sightseeing by walking around the city center to enjoy the city being busy with the sellers on the street and also the pedestrians and Colonial Style buildings. The whole day is the brief tour to famous Landmarks in Yangon and dinner and show at Karaweik palace.
DAY 11. Flying Back Home (B)
Breakfast and free time until the time to go to the airport for departure flight. Then, transfer you to the Yangon International Airport three hours prior according to your flight departure time.
