Since 2016, Vietnam CK has been a pioneering presence in Myanmar, making us one of the country's most established Destination Management Companies. As our third destination, Vietnam CK Myanmar opened just a year after we began our journey as Exotissimo in Vietnam.

My first visit to Myanmar was in 2004, during its initial steps towards welcoming tourists. The experience was unforgettable, offering a rich and extraordinary adventure unlike any other. Myanmar, for me, captured the true essence of Southeast Asia—its culture, history, and untouched beauty, all wrapped in the mysterious charm of an unexplored destination.

Since then, I've traveled to Myanmar countless times, and that initial thrill has never faded.

For the past 10 years, we have proudly facilitated travel to Myanmar for over 1000 guests. As pioneers in Myanmar’s tourism sector, we have explored almost every hidden corner of this golden land. We've built lasting friendships with communities high in the mountains and deep in the delta, contributing to opening the country to the world.

Our Journey Through Challenges and Triumphs

At Vietnam CK - Myanmar, we have navigated through natural disasters, pandemics, and political upheavals, always with a focus on ethical engagement and ensuring that local communities benefit directly from our presence. We have hired, trained, and provided work for thousands of locals as staff, guides, drivers, and through the business we've brought to the tourism sector.

Throughout the highs and lows, the Vietnam CK - Myanmar family has shown remarkable strength and resilience. Our efforts to support local economies have been extensive, with many local projects and initiatives funded directly.

We take great pride in our track record and accomplishments. Despite numerous challenges, we have remained committed to promoting tourism in Myanmar.

However, due to the events following the 2021 coup, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily pause accepting bookings for Myanmar. We will resume once the situation improves and it is safe for travelers to return.

While it deeply saddens us to take this step, our priority has always been the safety and well-being of our team, guides, and travelers. Although we will not be operating tours or taking new bookings at this time, we are not closing down. Vietnam CK - Myanmar remains open, and we are committed to taking care of our staff and all our responsibilities.

We have ensured that our team in Myanmar can take on remote working roles within the Vietnam CK network for other destinations. Our Myanmar staff have been integrated into our Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam sales departments, enhancing their experience through inspection trips and training. Their expertise, deep knowledge of the travel industry, and passion have been invaluable to the greater Vietnam CK family.

Even during these challenging times, we remain steadfast in our support for the people of Myanmar and are fully committed to promoting and booking travel to Myanmar as soon as it is safe. We stand in solidarity with the people of Myanmar, hoping for a brighter future where we can once again explore and celebrate the beauty of this remarkable country together.
