How to Get to the Phu Quoc Cable Car
The Hon Thom Cable Car departs from An Thoi in southern Phu Quoc and crosses the An Thoi archipelago to Hon Thom Island. The departure station is located in the Bãi Đất Đỏ area of An Thoi, near Sunset Town.
You can reach the station by taxi, private car, motorbike or local transport. If you are staying in central or northern Phu Quoc, allow enough time for the transfer to southern Phu Quoc, especially if you are visiting during a busy period.

The cable car does not necessarily operate continuously throughout the day. Sun World publishes operating schedules that can change because of maintenance, weather or seasonal arrangements.
The current Sun World schedule lists the Hon Thom complex as operating during daytime hours, but check the official schedule shortly before your visit rather than relying on a fixed timetable published in an older travel article.
How much is the Phu Quoc Cable Car?
Ticket prices depend on the current ticket type and package. In 2026, Sun World's published standard pricing has included round-trip cable car tickets from approximately VND 850,000 for adults and VND 700,000 for children between 1 and under 1.4 metres, with children under 1 metre generally travelling free. Prices and included attractions can change, so check the current ticket options before booking.
Some ticket options include access to attractions on Hon Thom, such as Aquatopia Water Park and Exotica, while other packages may include meals or additional experiences.
Planning tip: Don't choose a ticket simply because it is the cheapest option. If you are only interested in the cable car and the views, you may not need a full-day package. Families planning to spend several hours on Hon Thom may find a combined ticket more suitable.
How Much Time Should You Allow for the Phu Quoc Cable Car?
How much time you need depends on what you want to do on Hon Thom.
If you mainly want the cable car ride and the views:
Allow around 2–3 hours for the cable car experience, including getting to the station, boarding and returning.
If you want to explore Hon Thom:
Plan for at least half a day. This gives you time to enjoy the island without rushing back for your return journey.
If you want Aquatopia and other activities:
Plan for most of the day. A water park visit can easily turn the cable car into a full-day excursion.
Keep in mind that the cable car station is in southern Phu Quoc. If you are staying around Duong Dong or further north, your total excursion time will also include the journey to and from An Thoi.
